ORANGE CUPCAKES — Joyce Torkildson

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs, beaten
Large orange — grind for pulp, rind and save juice
1 cup raisins and nuts
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2/3 cup sour milk
1 teas. soda
Juice from orange
3/4 cup sugar
Cream sugar and shortening together.  Add eggs, orange pulp and rind and raisins and nuts.  Add flour, baking powder, sour milk and soda.  Bak at 350 degrees about 30 minutes or until brown.  Add 3/4cup sugar to juice from an orange.  Spoon mixture over hot cupcakes.
