Angel Biscuits

5 c. flour
1 c. shortening
2 c. buttermilk (I have used milk and 2 T. lemon juice)
2 T. sugar
5 t. baking powder
1/4 t. soda
1/2 t salt
1 pkg yeast
5 T. warm H2O
Dissolve yeast in warm water.  Sift dry ingredients.  Cut  in shortening, add buttermilk and yeast then knead lightly.  Do not let rise.  Roll 3/4″ thick.  cut out and bake or store in refrigerator until ready to use.

400 degrees, 25 minutes
