1 1/2 c. sugar 2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. butter 1/4 t. baking powder
1/4 c. cocoa White 3 eggs
1/4 t. salt
Cream butter, add sugar slowly and cream Add 1 c. cold water, 1 t. vanilla, add cocoa and cream, add salt, add cold water, and flour, with Baking Powder alternately. Dissolve soda in hot water (1 t. soda and 1 T. hot water) and add and stir good. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake at about 350–25-30 minutes.
