{"id":1122,"date":"2009-12-14T16:50:24","date_gmt":"2009-12-14T21:50:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.terrywessel.com\/EdithRecipeArchive\/wordpress\/?p=1122"},"modified":"2009-12-14T16:50:24","modified_gmt":"2009-12-14T21:50:24","slug":"kahlua-almond-biscotti-from-sharon-r-s-kitchen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/wesselbest.com\/?p=1122","title":{"rendered":"Kahlua Almond Biscotti     &#8212;   Sharon R.&#8217;s Kitchen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Amount Ingredient<br \/>\n&#8212;&#8212;&#8211; &#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<br \/>\n1 C (200g) Sugar<br \/>\n1\/2 C (115g) Butter, melted<br \/>\n2 T Kahlua<br \/>\n1 tsp Real Vanilla or Almond Extract<br \/>\n3 Eggs<br \/>\n1\/2 C (125ml) Almonds, chopped<br \/>\n2 1\/4 C (315g) Flour<br \/>\n1 1\/2 tsp Baking Powder<br \/>\nIn a large bowl, mix sugar and melted butter.<br \/>\nAdd Kahlua and vanilla extract.<br \/>\nBeat in the eggs and stir in the nuts.<br \/>\nIn another bowl, sift flour and baking powder.<br \/>\nGently stir dry ingredients into sugar mixture until well blended.<br \/>\nMix in the chopped almonds.<br \/>\nCover and chill about three hours.<br \/>\nPreheat oven to 375F (190C).<br \/>\nShape dough into three loaves 2 inches wide and 1\/2-inch thick.<br \/>\nPlace loaves well spaced on greased cookie sheet.<br \/>\nBake 20 minutes or until brown.<br \/>\nCool 5 minutes, cut in diagonal slices 1\/2-inch thick.<br \/>\nArrange slices on cut sides.<br \/>\nBake 8 minutes each side at 375F (190C) until lightly<br \/>\nbrowned.
