Sauté ½ cup minced onion in 1 T. butter
Brown 1 lb.  ground beef,  add 1 clove garlic, minced.
Add 1 t. salt, dash of pepper and 2 T flour
Add 1 can of  Cr. Of Chix Soup. And 1 lb. Or 1 large can of mushrooms.  (I rarely have quite that many mushrooms  For double the recipe I had used 12 oz of fresh mushrooms plus 1 small can.  When I used canned I add the liquid — otherwise I add a bit of water.)
Simmer uncovered until done.  Add 1 cup sour cream and simmer a bit longer.
Serve over rice and with chow mein noodles.   Serves 4.
