2 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cut up dates
1 c. pecans
1 c. shredded coconut
1 t. vanilla
1/2 c. (drained) *Marachino Cherries.
Beat egg whites till soft peak. Add sugar gradually. Beat till stiff. Fold in ingredients. Spread in ungreased 9x13x1 Bake 300 till light brown. (approx 30 min.) Turn in large bowl add cherries. cool till easy to handle and roll into balls. Roll balls in granulated sugar. 36 balls.
