3/4 c. shortening (half butter)
1 c. br. sugar (pack)
3/4 c. pwd sugar
2 T. flour
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 t. baking pwd.
2 eggs
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. vanilla
1 c. pecans chopped
Heat oven to 350. Mix shortening and pwd. sugar thoroughly. Stir 1 1/2 c. flour into shortening mixture. With hand, press and flatten mixture evenly in ungreased oblong pan, 13x9x2. Bake 12-15 min. Combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Spread over baked layer. Bake 20 min.; cool. Cut into bars. Makes 24 bars.
