Cut round steak (tenderized) into serving pieces. Dip in egg and cracker crumbs and brown in hot fat. When browned, sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese and salt and pepper. Put into roasting pan. Pour about 1 c. water into frying pan for a minute and then pour over meat. Add bay leaf. Add carrots, onion, potatoes, celery, on top of meat. Cover. Bake at 325 1 1/2 hours.
