Melt 2 sq choc. with 1/2 c. butter in fair size bowl over hot water. Add 2 cups powdered sugar–1 t. vanilla, scant 1/2 t. salt. Separate 3 eggs. Put beaten yolks in mixture while still warm. Cool awhile. Crush small box of vanilla wafers (25 cents about) and top.
1/2 gal. ice cream–cut in squares and smooth with knife. Add crumbs and nuts. (Note: if this is too confusing you could call Bert)
