Crust:
3 egg whites (beat stiff)
1 c. sugar
1/2 t. baking powder
1 t. vanilla
12 soda crackers (rolled fine)
1/2 c. nuts
Mixed ingredients together and put in buttered pie pan. Bake 30 minutes in a 325 oven.
Filling:
Beat 4 egg yolks until thick. Gradually add 1/3 c. sugar. Beat in 2 t. grated lemon peel and lemon juice (3 T.) Cook over hot water until thick. 5-7 minutes. Stirring constantly. Cool. Top with whipped cream.
