2 qts. sweet milk
3 eggs
2 cups thick sour milk or butter milk
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 t. slat
Bring sweet milk to boil and simmer for 15 minutes. Mix sugar, salt and beaten eggs with sour milk or buttermilk and add to hot milk. Cook slowly for 1 hour. Do not stir. Move kettle slowly to keep it from sticking. I have always made just half of this recipe, but do enjoy it once and a while.
