INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 egg, beaten
1 1/4 cups grated Parmesan cheese
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
1 cup cracker crumbs
3/4 cup whole or evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1/2 cup chili sauce
PREPARATION:
Combine all ingredients except chili sauce; press into a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Turn out onto a shallow baking pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Spread chili sauce over top and return to the oven. Bake 15 to 20 minutes longer, ot until thoroughly cooked.
