1 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. finely chopped carrots
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 (15 oz.) can Hunts tomato sauce
1 c. water
1/2 c. chopped tomatoes
1/4 c. lentils, rinsed
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper sauce
Hot cooked pasta
In saucepan, saute onions, carrots and garlic in oil until onions are tender. Add remaining ingredients except pasta. Simmer 1 hour. Serve over hot, cooked pasta. Makes 4 servings.
