3 T. butter 2 T. flour
1 1/2 t. salt 1/8 t. pepper
3 c. milk 6 medium potatoes, pared and thinly sliced (6 c.)
2 T. chopped onion
Make white sauce of first 5 ingredients. Place half the potatoes in greased 2-qt. casserole; cover with half the onion and half the sauce. Repeat layers. Cover and bake at 350 about 1 hour. uncover and bake 30 minutes longer. Serves 4-6.
