Cake: Filling:
2 1/2 c. flour 1 T. flour
3 t. baking powder 1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar 1 t. cinnamon
2 eggs 1/2 nuts
1 c. milk 1 T. butter
1/2 t. salt
Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs and beat. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Put half of dough in well greased 8×8 pan. Cover with filling. Spread remainder of dough on top. Bake in moderate oven 350 about 1 hour.
