1 c. rice
2 cans tomato sauce
1/2 c. diced green pepper
1/2 c. diced onion
1 pkg. mixed veg. (1 lb.)
1 1/2 lbs. grounds beef
Spread rice in bottom of pan (10×12).
Add layer of veg.
Pour 1 can sauce diluted with 1/2 can water.
Add layer of onion, peppers, salt and pepper.
Pour over can of sauce diluted with 1/4 can water.
Top with hamburger, Bake @ 350 oven for 1 hour with cover–Remove cover and bake 1/2 hour longer.
May add grated cheddar cheese for last 1/2 hrs. if desired.
