1/2 c., butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1 t. soda
1 c. soured cream
1 t. vanilla
2 pkgs. choc. chips
2/3 c. nuts.
Cream butter and gradually add brown sugar, creaming thoroughly. Blend in eggs. Sift together flour, baking powder, slat and soda and add this alternately with sour cream to creamed mix–Blend in vanilla, choc chips and nuts and chill til dough is firm
Drop by teas. on lightly greased baking sheet allowing room for spreading. Bake @ 350 for 10-13 minutes.
Icing: Melt 6 T. butter and allow to remain over heat til rich golden brown. Blend in 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar,. Add 1 t. vanilla. Stir in about 4 T. hot water til right for spreading.
