32 light candy *carmels 5 T. light cream or 1 c. flour evaporated milk
1 c. quick cooking rolled oats
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 t. soda 1/4 t. salt
3/4 c. melted butter 1 c. choc. chips.
1/2 c. pecans
Melt *carmels in cream in top of double boiler. Cool slightly. Combine all ingredients except choc. chips and nuts in large mixing bowl. Press 1/2 crumbs into bottom of 11×7 pan. Bake @ 350–10 minutes,
Remove from oven. Sprinkle with choc. chip and pecans. Spread carefully with carmel mixture. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Bake 15-20 min. or til golden brown. Chill 1-2 hrs. Cut into bars.
