Melt over boiling water:
1 c. Choc chips
1/2 c. sweetened condensed milk
1 T. butter
1/4 t. salt
Add:
1/2 c. nuts
1 t. vanilla
Set aside
Sift:
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 t. soda
1/2 t. salt
Cream
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
Add 1 unbeaten egg
1 t. vanilla
Stir in :
dry ingredients 1/2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
Press:
2/3 mix in greased 9×9 pan, Spread with chocolate filling
Crumble:
Remaining mixture over filling. Sprinkle with 1/4 c. walnuts
Bake @ 350–25-30 minutes til lightly browned. Cool–cut in bars.
