Flat Bread — Violet Tweed
Mix well until lard melts:
2 c. corn meal
2 t. salt
2 t. sugar
2 rounded T. of lard
1 1/2 c. boiling water
Add 1 c. flour and mix well. Cool until lukewarm.
Add 1 more c. flour and knead until smooth. Cut into pieces and let air-dry for about 10 minutes. Roll paper thin (takes hard rolling and you can use flour to help roll) Bake on grill until slightly brown. Store in dry place.
