1 c. sifted flour
1/2 t. baking pwd.
1 t. salt
1/2 t. soda
1/3 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed br. sugar
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
3/4 c. Oat Flakes
3/4 c. chopped nuts
Preheat oven to moderate (375). Sift together the sifted flour, baking pwd., salt and soda. Cream butter. Blend in sugars, creaming until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Add flour mixture, cereal, and nuts; mix just until blended. Shape into 1 inch balls with floured hands. Bake on ungreased baking sheet 10-12 minutes. Makes 2 dozen cookies. Store in tightly covered container.
