3 qt. covered casserole…375 degrees oven 1 1/2 hours
1/2 c. cooked rice
1 lb. gr. beef
1 1/4 t. salt
1/2 t. pepper
2 c. canned tomatoes
3 T. butter or oleo
2 T. chopped green pepper
3 T. onion, chopped
2T. all-purpose flour
Combine uncooked rice, ground meat, salt, pepper, and 1/4 c. of the tomatoes. Mix and form into 12 meat balls. Place in a greased casserole. Heat butter or oleo in skillet and lightly brown green pepper and onion. Blend in the flour and add remaining tomatoes slowly. Cook until thickened. Pour over meat balls. Cover and bake.
