1 c. sugar 1 c. dark corn syrup
1/2 c. light cream 2 T. butter
pinch salt 1 t. vanilla
In a saucepan (about 3 quarts) over medium heat, stirring constantly, cook sugar, syrup, cream, butter and salt until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a full rolling boil. Boil 5 min., stirring several times. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Serve hot; or cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally and serve. To reheat, place over hot water or very low heat and stir often until pouring consistency. Makes about 2 cups.
